在吉林卫视的《高手在民间》节目中, pairs of skilled artisans will compete against each other to showcase their talents. One such artist is Yao Liuya, who is a遵义独竹漂的第三代传人. She has been practicing the art since she was a child and has dedicated her life to inheriting her grandmother's legacy.
Yao Liuya faced many challenges when she first began learning独竹漂. The smooth surface of the bamboo pole made it difficult to balance on the water, and she often fell into the water as she tried to learn. However, with determined practice, she gradually improved and was able to stay on the water for longer periods of time. She even created her own unique style, known as "dancing on the bamboo".
In addition to her love of traditional独竹漂艺术,Yao Liuya also has a passion for integrating the art with local culture and tourism. She dreams of performing large-scale shows that combine traditional Chinese dance with modern elements, showcasing the unique charm of our country's intangible cultural heritage to the world.
Yao Liuya's dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed. In 2019, she was awarded the title of "Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative Project of the District" by the Red Tree District People's Government and the Red Tree District Culture and Tourism Bureau. Her achievements are a testament to the power of perseverance and the potential of our country's traditional arts.
